When did you first meet Christ and who pointed you to Him?

2014. Loving, Christ following teammates who loved me for who I was and then eventually being open to reading and learning about who Jesus is and what He is truly like.

What challenges has your faith help you overcome?

The biggest challenge is not getting distracted from God and Jesus. His Truth and Wisdom is the greatest of all time but I can get distracted by everything else. That’s why it’s important to be surrounded by loving Jesus following people and the Word of God.

What is your favorite bible verse and why?

Matt 9:13. I love how it encompasses both the Old and New Testament, and it shows God’s true character and love for His people.

What would you say to someone who’s on the fence about believing in Jesus?

In my opinion- the evidence is there to support Jesus’s claims as Messiah and His Resurrection. I would take time to give full attention to what Jesus claimed, pray and ask God to give you an answer, and independently research what the Bible says about God and Jesus.

How do you stay grounded in your identity as a man of God?

I need constant reminders, which I can get in prayer, reading the Bible, words from friends/family, and other ways.

What us your favorite food and music?

I love hamburgers and I listen mostly to Christian and Country music

Do you have a pre-game ritual or routine?

Routine is very important to me, but I can adjust it when needed. I try to do everything possible to prepare so I can perform in the game.

What is a fun fact about you fans might not know?

I love to cook and read.

What advice would you give a younger athlete about faith and sports?

There is a lot of distractions out there, but it’s important to stay focused on the most important things in your life.

What does living out your faith in professional sports look like?

It is very similar to any job. Although there more public exposure, it really is no different than anything else. We need to treat others how we wanted to be treated and live by the Wisdom of God. Our relationships and behavior will tell more about our faith than anything else.
