ABOUT
Lou
Lou Trivino is a professional baseball pitcher known for his work as a high-leverage reliever in Major League Baseball. Born on October 1, 1991, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, Trivino played college baseball at Slippery Rock University before being selected by the Oakland Athletics in the 11th round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut in 2018 and quickly established himself as a reliable bullpen arm, using a heavy sinker and sharp breaking pitches to generate ground balls and limit hard contact.
Trivino later joined the New York Yankees, where he continued to contribute as a key reliever when healthy. Known for his ability to pitch in high-pressure situations, he has been trusted in late innings and has even handled closing duties at times during his career. His resilience, experience, and ability to attack hitters make him a valuable bullpen piece and a dependable veteran presence on a pitching staff.

Favorite Bible Verse:
Matthew 25:35–40 — “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
A passage that reminds me to serve others and keep the right perspective on life.
Who has impacted your spiritual journey the most?
My grandparents (on both sides). Also, teammates like Blake Treinen, Robbie Ray, and Ryan Walker.
Blake Treinen especially has a level of faith that really stands out and has impacted me.
Favorite Food:
Eggs or steak — I’m a big meat guy
Favorite Music:
Christian music (especially artists like Brandon Lake), along with country and some EDM
Pre-Game Routine:
I like to keep things simple—often listening to podcasts instead of music and even taking a short nap. I prefer to stay calm and mentally clear rather than overly hyped.
What do you want to be known for?
At the end of my career, I want to be known as a good teammate.
To me, that means impacting the people around me, staying grounded, and living out my faith consistently—regardless of performance.
So, What is the Gospel?
What if understanding the Gospel was as easy as running the bases? Good news. It is. Join Mickey Weston as he steps up to the plate and walks through the Gospel using the simple, familiar rhythm of baseball. From home plate to first, second, third, and back home, faith becomes clear, approachable, and unforgettable. No religious jargon, no pressure. Just Good News explained in a way that makes sense and brings you home.
