ABOUT

Bryson

My life was filled with worry, fear, and anxiety before I knew Jesus. I tried to control every aspect of my life. The exact time I worked out, trained, hit, took groundballs, and even when I ate. By the time I finished my senior year of college I was in a deep hole of anguish with no idea what was next for me. Thankfully through Bananaball I was connect with lovers of Christ, and my life has been changed for ever.

When did you first give your life to Christ and what led you to that decision?

Winter of 2024, My Fiance and I decided we wanted to something different for our lives, so we attended Bible studies from friends we have met through Bananaball, and started learning more about our Savior!

How has your relationship with Jesus changed your life?

He has just brought me so much joy. I’m no longer weighed down with anxiety. I’m free to be who I am without fear of judgment. I work harder, I’m more disciplined, and I’m a better man and patter to my beautiful fiance!

What would you say to someone who’s on the fence about believing in Jesus?

By choosing to believe you are only bringing yourself into life that is so rewarding and fulfilling. You will never be the same and your future self will be so grateful.

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

Matthew 6:33.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

As someone who wants to be able to control the future to make sure it is safe. I find so much comfort in the idea of just chasing the kingdom of heaven and my life will be okay. I will be provided with everything I need by Jesus. All I have to do is seek a righteous life!

What spiritual discipline (prayer, study, etc.) has helped you most in your walk?

Consistently praying, reading, and studying the Bible daily. My prayer life is something I’m proud of. Constantly asking god for guidance, discipline, and thanking him for even the little things!

What does living out your faith in professional sports look like?

I try and play/train with Christ in mind. Focused intentional reps that he would be proud of, and always giving him the glory for my success.

One word your teammates would use to describe you:

I’d probably say loud, but I’m looked at as a leader and captain for our team!

What message do you hope fans take away after scanning your card?

Live life without fear and chase what excites you. You’re capable of things you couldn’t even imagine!

What advice would you give a younger athlete about faith and sports?

Keep God at the center of your life, and everything you dream is possible!
