Born on July 6, 1994, in Suffolk, Virginia, Lowe played college baseball at the University of Maryland, College Park before being selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the third round of the 2015 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut in 2018 and quickly established himself as one of the top power-hitting middle infielders in the game, earning All-Star honors in 2019 and becoming a key part of Tampa Bay’s lineup.
After several productive seasons with the Rays, Lowe continued his career bringing veteran experience and a strong bat to his team.
