Bobby

Bobby Magallanes is the assistant hitting coach for the Seattle Mariners and a longtime baseball coach with decades of experience in player development. Born on August 18, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, Magallanes played professionally in the minor leagues after being selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 1989 MLB Draft. Although he never reached the major leagues as a player, he built a respected coaching career by helping develop hitters throughout professional baseball.


Before joining the Mariners' major league staff, Magallanes served in a variety of coaching and managerial roles across the minor leagues, earning a reputation for his ability to teach hitting fundamentals and connect with players. Known for his patient approach, strong communication skills, and commitment to player development, he has played an important role in helping young hitters transition to the major league level while supporting the Mariners' offensive philosophy.

My dad. His love, patience, and unwavering support allowed me to pursue my dreams. I try to model that same love and encouragement with my own children.

Who has impacted your spiritual journey the most?

Mickey Weston — He has discipled me for more than 20 years. Our relationship has grown from mentor and disciple into a deep friendship where we continue to encourage and learn from one another.
