ABOUT
Andrés
Andrés Muñoz is a professional baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners and one of the hardest-throwing relievers in Major League Baseball. Born on January 16, 1999, in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico, Muñoz signed with the San Diego Padres as an international free agent in 2015. He made his MLB debut in 2019, quickly earning attention for his triple-digit fastball and devastating slider, giving him the ability to overpower hitters in late-game situations.
After being traded to the Mariners, Muñoz developed into one of baseball’s premier late-inning relievers and a key part of Seattle’s bullpen. Known for his electric arsenal, strikeout ability, and fearless approach on the mound, he has excelled in high-leverage situations, including as the team’s closer. His combination of elite velocity and sharp breaking pitches has made him one of the most dominant relief pitchers in the game.
